Well, that was interesting. I just committed to a crazy goal for next year, after responding to a post in my critique group.

I say it's crazy, but only because I've never successfully accomplished it before. Oh, I've written some wordy things in the past, but nothing quite like this.

What am I planning on doing? I'm planning on writing a novel, of course :) 50,000 word minimum.

Okay, okay... I'm sure at least someone will chuckle when they read this. For everyone out there who routinely writes 2, 3, a dozen novels a year, I'm in awe of your wordsmithing prowess. A pat on the back for everyone who's slogging away at it for NaNoWriMo. But for now I think I'll aim for one novel and see how things turn out. I am planning on writing the odd short story every now and again too, you know :)
