Wrote another 365 words on the Halloween story this evening. The laptop froze after I'd written a paragraph, so I hurriedly transcribed it to the Moleskine, turned the laptop off in disgust, and resumed on the desktop PC. The laptop is over 5 years old now and needs to be replaced, but we can't afford a new one just yet. I'll manage :)

This piece is in first person present-tense, which seems to be quite suitable so far. The scene I wrote tonight was a little creepy, but not quite enough to freak me out as have several other stories in the past. I'll need to work on that in the next draft ;)

I'm not quite sure what happens next in the story, but I know it's not good for our protagonist! He'd better watch out, because those things in the woods are growing tired of his yearly incursions....
