I haven't gotten any writing done over the past couple of days. The run of productivity was bound to stop eventually! I've just felt really tired lately, and with our busy weekend, I didn't have the time or motivation to write. I think I need some time to recharge my batteries, so to speak.

We did a lot of yardwork, cleaning out gutters, raking leaves, fertilizing the lawn, and so on. We also went to the movies and saw Jarhead, which was quite good (especially the acting and cinematography). The audience was mostly late teens / 20-somethings, and from the mutterings I heard, people either liked it, or thought it sucked. I'm not sure if the latter were offended by it (this is an R-rated film, people), or were hoping for grand battle scenes (were they even paying attention during the first Gulf War?). In any case, I reckon it's worth a look for a grunt's-eye view of the war.

Today we got some new fish to keep our 2 Black Neon tetras company. We got 4 new Black Neons and 4 fancy guppies. The latter have colourful red and yellow tails, and they're quite lively. We were hypnotized by these things, which hasn't happened for quite awhile since we first got the tank back in 2002.

This week I'm hoping to get stuck into the Halloween tale, now that I've got it outlined. I should also be able to work on the collab tale soon--the partner is working on the next part now (Hi Sam!) :)

Our anniversary is next weekend, so that could be a write-off (pun unintended) as far as the writing goes. We shall see, I suppose....
