We've been looking forward to visiting Carrie's parents in Michigan for Thanksgiving, but, alas, we'll be stuck home this year. This afternoon we happened to check the weather forecast and noted a massive storm about to barrel through over the next few days.

While we might've been okay driving to our hotel partway there tonight, we didn't particularly like taking our chances with 50 mile per hour winds and driving snow tomorrow. So, we had to cancel the hotel and resign ourselves to spending Thanksgiving at home this year.

We'll be having a turkey dinner tomorrow, with mashed potato, stuffing, cranberries, beans, and so on, so we won't be going hungry. That's one of many things we have to be thankful for.
