It has been a hectic couple of days, with endless streams of people dropping by the hospital room to get various forms filled out and doctors and nurses and so on going about their business. Carrie's mum is currently staying with us, so she visited a few times to see her new grandchild, which was nice. Her dad is interstate at the moment (he'll be here early next week), and my parents live overseas, so we're having to send a lot of photos and emails and talk on the phone instead. I'm still catching up on my email, so if I haven't gotten back to you yet, hang in there :)

We brought Jack home from the hospital yesterday morning, and we're gradually getting settled into our new routines. It's nice to return to the peace and quiet of home at last. Jack is doing pretty well, although his mum and dad have bags under their eyes today ;) I'm not quite sure what the cats make of him. They cautiously approach and sniff, but run for cover when he cries! It's quite amusing. In addition to our two cats, we have the inlaws cat staying with us too, so we've got quite a menagerie here now.

Today I took the first photos of Jack at home, and as you can see below, he's a handsome and well adjusted young chap. Most of the time, anyway ;)

He's got his first pediatrician appointment first thing tomorrow morning, so I reckon we're going to be even more tired. It's a good thing I've got the rest of the week off and a few days next week. At this rate I might even need to take all next week off! Later!
