Allex can now officially "creep". And creeping really gets you around, let me tell you. He'll see a toy accross the room and head for it. And he knows what he wants. He'll pass plenty of other toys along the way. Right now he likes things with moving parts, like toy cars and trucks.

Yesterday he was playing on the floor with his cousin Spencer who is about 18 months old. They were so much fun to watch. They love being together. I had no idea how much Allex could interact with him already. Spencer will copy how Allex lays on the floor and try to talk to him. Allex laughs and smiles at Spencer. Spencer brings toys and sits in front of him. Twice, Spencer was playing with a toy and Allex made his way over on his tummy and reached for it. Spencer let him have them and went for another toy. It appeared that because Spencer had a toy, Allex wanted it. And the lessons in "sharing" begin. It helped me to see how important interaction with other children is. I can't play the same way with him. It isn't the same. But I thought it wouldn't be need until one or two years old.

I had no idea how much a 6 month old understands. I've had to begin disciplining. He doesn't want to stay in one place while I change his diaper now. I had to communicate to him that he needed to stay put until I was done. Tricky. My easy days are now officially over. Let the training begin :-)
