Happy Valentine's Day to You

A cyber Valentine's Day gift to you from me.

First, get some headphones out (if you have them) and plug them into your computer/laptop/smart-phone/tablet.

If you don't have them, I can recommend these KOS HEADPHONES at amazon.

I just got these headphones in the mail today and plugged them into my laptop, pulled up Stan Rogers on YouTube, and my-oh-my... these are better than my Bose! No kidding. They even have a little volume control on the wire. Wow.

So here is my first gift and sorry I couldn't embed it for you, but there was no embedding allowed:

"Scarborough Settler's Lament" by Stan Rogers.

Here is one of the most beautiful tunes I've ever heard, although it does have a political message to the lyrics - Stan Rogers singing "House of Orange":

And one last one, Stan Rogers singing "Song of the Candle":

I am so enjoying these new headphones, but wouldn't you know it? As soon as I got them plugged in and began to prepare this journal entry, everything here started happening, the phone was ringing off the hook, the dogs wanted to go out or in, Paul came in from errands and needed to talk ... isn't that always the way?

OK. I want summer so I can have some good personal time without the rest of the world interrupting me!

So if you haven't got a good set of headphones, these are not too expensive (only $17.95 with Prime membership) and I must say they are far, far better quality than I ever dreamed they would be. I use them mainly for listening to talk radio in bed at night. Gosh, I may have to buy a second set to keep on my laptop now so I don't have to lug them up and down stairs!

Happy Valentine's Day to you, one and all.

With love and gratitude for your friendship,

Bex & Co.

It's in every one of us to be wise;
Find your heart, open up both your eyes.
We can all know every thing without ever knowing why.
It's in every one of us, by and bye.
