2014-02-16 8:53 AM Shout-Out Sunday No. 7 - From Russia with Love, An American Breaking Barriers The Shout-Out Sunday offering for today, 16 February 2014 is:
The interview lasts just over 16 minutes and reveals a young man who is worth knowing about. I was so impressed with his maturity, thoughtfulness, intelligence, and work ethic. I just happened on this interview the other night on radio and was mesmerized by his presentation and spirit. You will learn about what brought him to ballet (he really wanted to be a tap dancer!), and just how important his being added to the Bolshoi really is - after hundreds of years of Russian ballet being only for Russians previously. He has made history and is to be commended on his life's work. Below, "Hallberg at Work" by Eric K. Yue: Below, David Hallberg 16 years old at the Paris Opera School Audition: And last but not least, see David dance, "Lost Illusions" at the Bolshoi in Moscow: There are many more videos available of David dancing so enjoy these few that I have given you here. I sing his praises on this Shout-Out Sunday journal entry and hope you enjoy listening to David as well as watching an amazing ballet dancer at work. Have a great Sunday everyone. We are digging out of yet more snow that fell all day yesterday and evening, so what else is new? Cheers for the wonderful artistes of the world! Bex Find your heart, open up both your eyes. We can all know every thing without ever knowing why. It's in every one of us, by and bye. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 2003 - Present Archives at Diaryland Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
