2006-07-04 6:22 AM Cervical cancer vaccine. Not new news, but recent enough that I am going to talk about it here.
'Major Breakthrough': FDA Approves Cervical Cancer Vaccine. More people died of cervical cancer this year than there were U.S. casualties in Iraq since the war started. They ought to have a ticker tape parade for the people who came up with this. They are heroes. (I find it interesting that they are only talking about innoculating girls with this vaccine. It's sort of like the notion that only women should be responsible for birth control because they are the only ones that get pregnant.)
