I just found out that my best friend and his wife are expecting their first. They are both excited and (though Jarod won't admit it) a bit nervous about the awesome responsibility. I offer them my best wishes and congratulations.

In that vein, I got to work and found a website this morning that you can type your name choices into and discover the popularity of that name over time. For example, my given name, Charles, was the 6th most popular name in 1930 and has been on the decline ever since. In 2003, it ranked as number 59 for boy's names.

Go to the Baby Name Wizard and type in your names, kids names, parents names, etc. It's a really fun diversion and can help those that want to name their children something unique.
