I am again sharing our apartment with my wife and the geriatric dog. They returned yesterday, and the tension in the air was palpable. But, I am trying to keep it as light as possible and only talk when it seems ok, and things seemed slightly less tense last night as I went to bed. Counseling tomorrow...

Some background on the weekend...

I spent Saturday attending a workshop on homebuying, and though I (or we) are a little bit off from that, I'm so much closer than I was only a year ago. Got into the credit card trap while I was living with my best friend (don't take me there), and am finally getting out of that hole. Hopefully by the end of the year, only student loans will remain for me. Yippee!!!

I spent Saturday night visiting with said former roomate and still-best friend (I'm blindly loyal to my close friends) and we talked and hung out until midnight. Woke up Sunday morning and gave the place a fairly good cleaning, walked 4 miles, and prepared for the return.

This morning, I woke up, and the dog christened the kitchen (which I had diligently cleaned yesterday), so I got to pick up and mop (again)... It's almost symbolic...
