Today is my birthday. I spent the first part of it in the doctor's office, where I learned that I will be subjected to a "scoping" of my upper and lower digestive system (hopefully they will wash the camera between uses...)

Actually, the first one is next Thursday, so Wednesday I get to "clean out the pipes," so to speak (as if they aren't clean enough).

The nice thing about today, though, even though I can't have my cake, or eat it... (I could, but then I'd be in pain the rest of the evening), is that Janel made me a pan of jello with sugar letters that say "Happy Birthday Charlie"... it is so cute, and funny and thoughtful... I don't think I'm gonna try lighting any candles on it, though... :-p

Otherwise, no one at work has said anything, and only Janel, my mom, and a lady at the doctor's office have said happy birthday... Ah well. They can't all be winners...
