Hair!

1) Do you like your hair?

Most days I do, I really do. Its thick, and usually does what I want it to, if I'm not asking too much.

2) Have you ever colored your hair? If not, would you consider it?

Is this a serious question? I've been grey since age 25. Yes I color. Once I did blonde streaks. I lived in California. Don't judge me.

3) What's the longest you've ever worn your hair? The shortest?

As someone who lived Junior High and High School in the 70's, I had straight, parted-in-the-middle hair to the middle of my back from ages 10 to 18, except when I was emulating Farrah Fawcett.

I'm getting my hair cut in about four hours, and it will be pretty short!

4) When and what was your worst. haircut. ever?

Well, there was that unfortunate mullet look in College: "Business in Front, Party in the Back." But the most traumatic cut for me was the time I had my hair cut SHORT for the first time. My OEH had said very little about my hair up to then, and when I left the house I had hair to the shoulder blades. I also had a toddler, and a job, and it was very difficult to manage both. When I came home I had short hair, as in above the chin. He took one look at it and said, "I liked your long hair better." We still talk about that sentence. It has become family legend.


5) Tell us a favorite song or scene from a book or movie dealing with hair.

The Biblical story of Sampson and Delilah has always fascinated me. On the surface, why on Earth would God place so much emphasis on that guy's hair? I know its about obedience, but still.
