Did you ever notice that when someone says "Now, don't take this personally..." What they are really saying is this:

"I'm about to say something very personal about you that is probably going to upset you, but I'm not very together, and my integrity is in shatters, so I don't really want to take any responsibility for you as a fellow human being, or your feelings, or whether or not I've hurt you. Because I want very badly to feel good about myself. So there."

Was I the last soul on earth to figure this out?

Believe it or not, this has helped me to forgive some people this morning.
