* A member of my church got her divorce finalized, and her house sold. She now has 3 weeks to find a home for herself, her aged mother, and her 25-year-old daughter. It is very stressful.

* A husband and wife who are living in a nursing home in the Alzheimer's unit are racing each other to the Pearly Gates.

ETA: He won the race, this morning. They were holding hands. She is soon to follow, I hope and pray, as does the family.

* Another married couple both lost their jobs the same day. They are 63 and 62, do not own a home, and have no savings or retirement to fall back on.

* One of my recent widows (widowed in late April) was moved to an assisted living unit because she refuses to get out of bed.

And I complained about sitting for hours on end in hard chairs last week.
