So Wednesday night was Weird Al at the Orange County Fair. Fun as always, but Al coulda stood to promote the newer stuff more, rather than fallin' back on the older stuff. Beyond that, there was funnel cake. Nothing else matters.

Tuesday night was Becca's birthday, so we dragged her out to Fubar, for lack of anything better to do. I had fun, though it took forever to get my one song in. Fortunately, it was Freedom '90 and I was in top form even though my mouth went dry after the first verse. Singing George Michael in front of a 90% gay crowd is probably what you'd call a guaranteed winner. During the song, I got a couple high fives. After, I got a couple handshakes. At some point, I realized people were singing along, which was interesting 'cause at the Kitty (and at Ground Control, for that matter) the audience is far enough away and the sound is just loud enough that all you can hear is your voice and the music. Played three games of pool while I was there. Lost to Spinner (eh, scratched on the 8) and Thea (in a fluke, I tell you!), but handily slaughtered the birthday girl. At fifty cents a pop, it was officially the cheapest table I'd ever encountered in a bar. I briefly considered stealing the cueball and bringing it to Jewel's, but decided against it.

Monday, I hadda get a ride out to the Liquid Kitty 'cause there wasn't a car available. Everyone got plastered. I did a bunch of shit I've done a million times before. It was good.

Tonight, the plan seems to be to catch the second cast performing Deathtrap at Hollywood Fight Club (Sunset & Highland, in the stripmall) @ 8pm.
