Hit Knotts on Sunday; did the Halloween Haunt thing. Was prety cool. Only one of the mazes was really creepy, but others were pretty good. I don't particularly enjoy being scared, so I shut off as much of that as possible and use my fellow-maze goers to defuse the rest. I really like the artistry of the better mazes, though. (Creepiest one ever is still the Clive Barker one at Universal Studios from a few years back.)

The good mazes:
* 13 Axe Murder Manor: Really looked great. I would've loved to game in that place. :) (I couldn't help making a few Betrayal at House on the Hill jokes.)
* Red Moon Massacre: Always fun.
* Lore of the Vampire: Also good. Needed more vampires and less generic monsters, though.
* Curse of the Spider: The one maze that was really creepy. I was glad I couldn't see some of the monsters' masks more clearly 'cause it was so damned dark.

The OK mazes:
* Cavern of the Lost Souls: Again, always fun.
* Carnival of Carnivorous Clowns from Outer Space in 3-D: It's been scarier in the past and, honestly, the 3D thing makes it hard to see (the black light reflects off of the glasses). Of course, it's possible that creepy clowns don't have the same effect on me that they once did. *shrug*
* Hatchet High: Clever and fun, but not even remotely scary.
* Red Beard’s Revenge: Clever and had a lot of potential, but not really scary.
* Terror Vision in 3-D: Amusing.

The suck mazes:
* Feary Tales in 3D: They should demolish this thing and give the pieces back to Malice & Wonderland (which needs to come back).

I also rode Montezooma's Revenge for the hell of it. Kinda rattled my brain a bit, 'cause it'd be a long time, but it was fun and I was glad I did. Also rode Silver Bullet, which was pretty cool. I've never ridden a hanging coaster before, so that was a bonus.

Lost all my steam after that, though. All I wanted was to fall over and sleep, probably 'cause I didn't get enough sleep. Might've also been a bit dehydrated.

Regardless, a good time was had by all. Reminded me that I'd really like to go back to Knotts just for fun. Always was my favorite park.
