Special Statewide Election
Tuesday, November 8

Proposition 73: Waiting Period and Parental Notification Before Termination of Minor's Pregnancy. Initiative Constitutional Amendment.

My Vote: No. This is not the state's business and anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong. Completely and utterly.

Proposition 74: Public Scool Teachers. Waiting Period for Permanent Status. Dismissal. Initiative Statute.

My Vote: No. It's easy enough to fire bad teachers as it is. Leave the process alone.

Proposition 75: Public Employee Union Dues. Restrictions on Political Contributions. Employee Consent Requirement. Initiative Statute.

My Vote: No. This law is unnecessary.

Proposition 76: State Spending and School Funding Limits. Initiative Constitutional Amendment.

My Vote: No. This does not fix the problem and potentially makes it worse. Once again, the governor is feeding the people a line of bullshit.

Proposition 77: Redistricting. Initiative Constitutional Amendment.

My Vote: No. Why am I supposed to trust retired judges hand-picked by legislators over the legislators themselves? Besides, the governor is behind this one and he's proven he's a fucking moron.

Proposition 78: Discounts on Prescription Drugs. Initiative Statute.

My Vote: No. The whole thing stinks. Their information, their backers, all of it.

Proposition 79: Prescription Drug Discounts. State Negotiated Rebates. Initiative Statute.

My Vote: Yes. Looks better put together than 78 and the money behind it is slightly cleaner. Not much, but a bit.

Proposition 80: Electric Service Providers. Regulation. Initiative Statute.

My Vote: Yes. Some things simply should not be de-regulated. We've proven that electricity is one of them. People don't need "consumer choice" in energy; they need to be able to turn on the lights.
