Debby: David, let’s get your coat on. It’s cold outside.
David: No coat.
Debby: Ok, it’s your choice. Go ahead onto the porch.
David (rushing back in): Cold outside! Coat on!

Rose (8:28 in the morning): I don’t want to go to swimming class today. Why do I have to go? I don’t want to go.
Debby: Hmm.
Rose: Don’t say that.
Debby: I don’t want to talk about it now. I’m not going to throw you in the water. We’ll talk about it later.
(3:50 in the afternoon) Rose gaily puts on her swimsuit and rushes off to class.
