We are just zooming through our rites of passage these days.

Yesterday, Rose, David, and I went to the local library to get Rose her first library card. It was a rather auspicious day—the 8oth birthday of the library. All the librarians had on dresses from the twenties and long strands of pearls, they had a very good three piece band playing twenties music, and luckily, we had missed the cake because gluten, you know.

All the librarians, who know our whole family of course, were very excited for Rose. She filled out the whole information sheet herself, picked our her books, and then, instead of me typing in my numbers, got to run her card under the scanner.

I told her to keep her card in a safe place. Knowing Rose, of course she will.
