2008-09-29 7:51 PM 10 good things today Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (0) 1. Drop off was the best its been since David realized this whole little school experiment wasn't going to end. He went to the good-bye bench and almost cheerfully hung on to the window handles while I raced outside to jump up and down and wave good-bye.
2. I revised an essay I've been working on for over a year. 3. I lay down on the couch and fell asleep for ten minutes during which time David sprinkled milk on the table, his chair, the floor, the toys on the floor, and the letters I had left on the table. The nap was worth it. 4. When I told David that if he dumped the entire box of legos on the floor, the hundreds of tiny legos, they would all be having a time-out for a very long time, he actually righted the box. 5. When I told David, it was time to change his pull-up, he said, "No," and I was too tired to insist. And then fifteen minutes later he told me he was poopy. So, my procrastination saved me a diaper change. 6. His poop looked healthier than it has the last three days. 7. After I changed his diaper, David said, "Thank you." I don't think he's ever done that before. 8. My sister's Rosh Hashannah table looked very pretty. 9. Ariana cheerfully agreed to take a bath with David. 10. David cheerfully let Mommom give him and Ariana a bath. Despite the worst economic crash of my lifetime, suffering from food poisoning, suffering from being up all night with the food poisoning, and being plagued by the rats still traipsing around the attic, there was some good today.
