Rose got a new kids' National Geographic at school yesterday, and she was really excited about it. So, excited that she asked if she could read it to me while I was in the shower. Sure. So, as I washed my hair, she showed me pictures of fantastically colored sea slugs, real avalanches, and plants that look like pelicans. At least that's how they looked to me because without my glasses it was all sort of a blur. I mean the sea slugs were really brightly colored, but I didn't want to drip on them.

Then David came into the room and wanted to hear about the avalanches while he had a potty sit. Rose warned him not to flush because that would mess up my water flow, and then he, of course, wanted to test it. It wasn't the most private, restful shower I've ever had, but John took the first hour this morning, so it was fair and educational.
