I always find it a little amusing/discombobulating when a teacher says, David was really good in class today. Because, that it implies he hadn't been so good other days. David is not the perfectly behaved student. John and I are adjusting to this because John, Rose, and I were perfectly behaved. If you can get a plus, plus, plus for sitting in your seat and paying attention, we all got it.

David does very well on did he learn the stuff, but not so well on was he easy to have in class. It turns out our son might talk out of turn. He might be goofy and distracting. In other words, he's normal. I don't mind that he's not angelic, but I don't want him to annoy the teachers and keep other kids from learning. The good news is the Sunday school teacher reported that they made a list of class rules together and David immediately abided by them all. Maybe he just needed to know what proper behavior was. Eh, we'll see how next week goes.
