David: You could say, "This sentence is really good; you could do more like this." Debby: Yes, David. That is exactly what you could do. Debby (on the phone to my sister): If she's having trouble understanding theme, you could tell her it's the underlying idea or belief and then give her some examples like "Love conquers all" or "Technology is dangerous." David: or every expert was once a beginner. Debby: Yes, David. That is a great possible theme. David (after listening to some of Treasure Island): Peter Duck is based on Treasure Island.
