2004-04-19 3:54 PM Work and Economics Mood: Overworked (for once) and Underpaid (this is normal) Read/Post Comments (0) |
I’m making my first post of the day a little bit late because I was unexpectedly sidelined with work today!
What the hell? Yeah, I was all ready to enjoy an average non-productive Monday slacking off and surfing the net when office nincompoopery reared its ugly head. My higher up, yet still lowly, peer had made some corrections to a report we were working on and then promptly lost these corrections and told me the wrong file to reformat. My skilled computer editing skills (ie making paragraphs line up and correcting font sizes) were wasted on the incorrect report version. Long-story-short My university economics* degree has earned me a position just lower than the average secretary. But during this recession I’m just lucky to not be dead… * no I can’t tell you when the economy will perk up/what stocks to buy/what jobs you should seek, economists can predict this crap about as well as weathermen can predict Superbowl outcomes. I can tell you interesting/useless tidbits like how seatbelts harm pedestrians though! Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
