Amstel Light is a light, refreshing beer but also has some flavor. It’s powerful enough to stand up to food, its fresh tasting, what else do you people want in a beer?
It’s even pretty cheap It’s true, in Holland they must not know that light beer is supposed to suck. I like that commercial from a while back, where the Dutch beer scientist smacks himself in the face for his mistake. If you’ve ever known Dutch people in real life, you know that’s exactly how they act too… Next was Michigan Brewing Company’s India Pale Ale. Strongly hopped and bitter, this IPA does a good job of representing the style. A big 7% ABV and a spicy almost perfume-like flavor means this beer will be too strong for most. I don’t know how people drink these with spicy foods, doesn’t seem thirst quenching enough. Anyway, I usually drink the stronger beers like this by themselves because they tend to overpower the food!
