You know what used to be a fad? Pole climbing. That's right, hauling your ass 30 feet in the air on somebodies flagpole. I think it's the stupidest fad ever, next to collecting beanie babies that is.

But then again maybe that's why Americans are so fat nowadays, nobody climbs flagpoles anymore for fun. The only physical fad that people do today is probably internet surfing. And even that sometimes doesn't burn that many calories when you have to watch out for material that isn't "worksafe"...
