Looking For A Wedding Dress

Frustrated

i am amber!!

*sighs* Okay, I leave the computer for one second to run the dishwasher and the cat takes over the computer. Or maybe it was Rob. I'm at least willing to bet that Rob had a hand in typing that. *grumbles*

Anyway, yesterday Rob, Lisa, Mindy, and I all went looking for a wedding gown and Bridesmaid dresses. Lisa and Mindy had a ton of luck. The first thing they put on (a really classy black and white gown) looked fabulous on both of them. I wasn't so lucky however. I found a lot of dresses that I loved, but they only came in "sample sizes". The "sample size" was usually a 10. I don't get that. Yeah, if you're a 10 or under you can get a feel for how it looks on you, but what about those of us who are over a 10? I'm a 22 (24 in wedding dresses cause they run small - how cruel of a joke is that?) and I have a feeling that I couldn't even get one of my legs into a size 10. All the places we looked at said they could order the dresses for me in my size, but then I would be under an obligation to buy the dress. How can they expect me to do that? What if it's a gorgeous dress that ends up looking horrible on me? I really don't see how they don't understand that someone needs to try something as important as a wedding dress on before they decide to buy it. So, yesterday was neat in the sense that there's going to be no problem finding something that looks stunning on both Lisa and Mindy, but sucked ass for me.

After trying on dresses, we all went to Target and to Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Rob and I picked up some new bedding (I have puffy white clouds on the bed now - kinda girly for the both of us to have) and some candle holders with candles.

We then all headed to Citywalk. Had dinner at Buca De Beppo and looked around the shops there. It was fun to hang out with everyone, and I'm glad that Lisa and Mindy got along so well. Though I did get a bit scared when they started planning my wedding at Bed, Bath, and Beyond and said that a giraffe statue could be the ring bearer, I could carry sparkly fruit instead of flowers down the aisle, that my dress could be made from a fish shower curtain, and that this weird phallic worm "Mr. Wormy" could, um, well nevermind.
