Tuna Fish
Previous Entry :: Next Entry

Mood:
Amused

Okay, so this morning was just plain funny. Rob and I were on our way out the door and there was a 5 pound can of tuna fish sitting in front of the door. We have a welcome mat that says something to the effect of "If you ever want to see these people again, leave 5 pounds of tuna fish in a brown paper bag. Signed - The Cat." And when we left this morning, someone had left tuna fish on the mat for the cats. I thought that was great. At least some people still have great senses of humor! I'm temped to leave a note on the mat. Having the envelope say it's for the Tuna Fish Person and the letter being all in meow. Just an entire letter of sentences made up of meow. We'll see if I have the time to type something up today. I do have some homework to do on my breaks.

Well, yesterday had a bit of the good and a bit of the bad. I'll go into the bad first.

Ow. Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow. I cut myself very badly yesterday and had a very hard time getting the bleeding to stop. And it was some of the worst pain in my life. I was at the bathroom sink shaving my armpits and accidently dropped the razor. And it cut me as it fell. A bad cut. In a bad area. I'm not going to post where it was, but let's just say it hurts. Badly. If you're very curious e-mail me and I'll tell you in private. It still hurts like hell and the wound opened back up in the shower today. I had some gauze over it last night when I went out and let me tell you something - there is no such thing as non-stick gauze. Ow. I hurt. Bad.

Once I got the bleeding to stop, Rob and I headed out to see Queen of the Damned at Citywalk. It had horrible reviews and Donna said she wanted to claw her eyeballs out during it, so I wasn't expecting much. But I loved it. Granted, it was different than the book. A lot was cut out, but that's the way it has to be when you turn a book into a movie. For those of you who have read "Queen of the Damned", I'm sure it took longer than 2 hours to do. So all of that extra has to be cut out to make it fit into two hours. But they did keep in the good stuff. Now, compared to the book it wasn't anything special. The book was way better. But taking it on it's own as a movie, I thought it was great. This is definitely something I'll buy when it comes out on DVD. Oh, and Stewart Townsend makes a much better Lestat than Tom Cruise. He hit the character way better. And is really hot as well.
