After the nurses poked many holes in me in order to hit a vein, and after they mangled me with the needle they put a band aid on me. One of those "doesn't stick to wounds" kinds. I took it off after my shower figuring that if it did stick, it would be less painful to take off. Nope. I pulled the damn thing (and several of my arm hairs) off. And it was stuck to the wound and my arm started bleeding again. This time I just let it bleed and a few minutes later it closed up on it's own. Now it just hurts. I'm getting a bruise around the area.
The strange thing was, when my blood was being drawn my blood would pump out into the vial, and then just stop. They would wiggle the needle around in my vein, a few more squirts would come out, and then it would stop again. No clue why. But they had never seen that happen before. So because of them moving the needle around to get the blood flowing I'm now bruised and my arm hurts. Oh well. I guess they had to do it. Found out that I need to be on meds for my acid reflux now. Probably for the rest of my life just like my father. Also found out that I have a stomach ulcer. That's why they took the blood. Because with ulcers come weird bacterial infections of the stomach and they needed to see if I needed to be on antibiotics as well. I hope not. I hate antibiotics. I'm allergic to Penicillin so they put me on weird ones. And then I have to eat yogurt - which I hate - for the entire time I'm on the antibiotics. You girls out there know why. Gah.
