Today as a day, sucked. But tonight was pretty cool. The drive to school took forever because (as usual) there was a car wreck right in the area of my exit.

Class was the usual three hours, but seemed so much longer.

Then the drive back took around two hours. No accidents, just /horrible/ Friday traffic.

And then ... a pleasant surprise. Kat called me on her way home from work. She works in Calabasas and lives in San Dimas. A hell of a commute! But she called me from right around the exit to my place. So I told her to come on over. She did and she, Rob, and I all hung around my place for a bit. We ended up going out for dinner at the new Olive Garden over in Burbank. Just talked and tried to catch up on what was new in our lives. I've known her since I was 12, but over the past few years we've just kind of drifted. So it was very cool being able to see her again. I need to find more time to spend with my friends. It gets nuts that every time I see one it's all like "Wow, I haven't seen you in ages". But law school does not give me much time for a social life. I'm so lucky Rob puts up with my schedule, not many men would.

So, tonight was very cool. I had a very pleasant end to a kind of crappy day.
