Quite A Day

Mood:
Happy

Got up late yesterday, took my sweet time getting ready, and then Rob and I headed over to the shopping mall in Northridge. We met up there with Berek and Lisa (who both live close by) and did some shopping.

First was Torrid, the main reason I went all the way out to Northridge to shop. Torrid is pretty much just like Hot Topic, only it's for girls who are a size 14-26. In other words they have the same cute t-shirts (Care Bears, My Little Pony, etc.) and alternative clothing (goth dresses, etc.) that Hot Topic has, only at Torrid they fit. I was such a bad girl there. I got 6 t-shirts! One Care Bear one for "Grumpy Bear" (light blue), another Care Bear one for "Bedtime Bear" (dark blue), one for My Little Pony (pink), one with a fire fairy on it (black), one with a Scare Bear called "Jinx" on it (light blue), and one with the outline of a cat one it that says "I have claws and I'm not afraid to use them" (red). I also got a little sleep outfit. Very soft boy shorts and a tank top in an Asian pattern. I swear, I had died and gone to heaven when I got in that store. Everyone could see the gleam in my eyes. Rob said he heard my credit cards scream. But that store was so cool. Every time I would walk into a Hot Topic I would drool over those cute little shirts, but they were "baby doll" sized. Which means you have to be a size 6 or under to wear them. This store rocked. I'm still salivating over it.

We all did other shopping as well. Macy's for more gloss (indeed, I am a gloss whore), a video game store for Rob and Berek, Victoria's Secret for Lisa (panty whore!) and then Lane Bryant. Lisa and I both needed new jeans. Mine are starting to get holes in them. So I got a pair of jeans as well.

After going to the mall we headed over (around 9:00pm) to a near by movie theatre and saw Undercover Brother. Berek decided to invite his Dad, brother, and a friend of his brother's along so we had a pretty big group in there. The movie wasn't too bad. Pretty funny. One of those kind of dumb but funny comedies. I liked it and it was what I was in the mood for at the time.

After that we were all pretty tired so we went our separate ways. Berek went home with his family and Rob and I were going to stop at Lisa's to pick up some salsa her Mom had made for us (as a sidenote, that was my lunch today and DAMN that was some tasty salsa!!!). While at Lisa's we all decided that food sounded good and headed over to the Denny's just down the street from Lisa. Who would have thought that one trip out for food could turn into such a trip! We went to Denny's and there was no parking. At all. And the place was PACKED. So we decided to head down Ventura and see what else we could find. A whole lot of nothing. So we headed down Topanga Canyon and came across two more Denny's. Both with no parking left and both with people waiting to be seated. There were no tables open. At three Denny's. At like 1:00am. What the fuck??? Lisa had the idea of checking out a near by Coco's. That was closed so all we did was drive in the parking lot. Circle around a truck a few times cause it seemed funny (we must have looked so drunk) and headed out. We ended up just getting drive through at Jack In The Box and eating at Lisa's. Who would have thought that it would be near impossible to find food at 1:00am on a Saturday night / Sunday morning?

We finally headed home around 2:45am. When we got back home Rob and I just passed out.

Once again we got up pretty late this morning. Had salsa for lunch and decided to log on for a bit. Now that I've just written an epic on my Saturday I think it's time for me to head off and get my reading done for Monday. Bleh. I don't want to go to school tomorrow.
