My Hair Is Short!
Previous Entry :: Next Entry

Mood:
Spaced-Out, It's Been A Long Day

Got up pretty early today, well early for a weekend anyway, and Rob and I drove out to the Montclair area. I needed a dye touch up (my blonde roots were showing again and when they start to show badly it looks like I'm going grey since my hair is dyed a reddish brown color) and also decided to get my hair cut. Now, for those of you who have seen me recently you know my hair was about chin length. It's shorter now. I got what's called a "choppy bob". Not sure how to describe it. Wanna see how short it is? Drop me an e-mail (psst, the link is to the left) and let's hang. It's been far too long since I've seen some of you who read this. I don't know if I like the cut or not. Rob and Lisa both seemed to like it. It takes me about a week to get used to a new style and that's when I know if I like it or not. Yeah, I'm weird. But you knew that already.

After my hair stuff Rob and I made a very quick stop at the mall in Montclair. I wanted to see if they had any of the Happy Bunny stickers I was looking for at Hot Topic. They didn't. If any of you know where to get one of these "It's Happy Bunny" stickers:
"Cute But Psycho, Evens Things Out"
"Hi! Eat me."
"I Think I Gave You Crabs"
please let me know and I'll be forever grateful. I want.

Rob and I then headed to Wal-Mart. There aren't any in my area and I needed some socks. Badly. And they have a style there that I like. Which is good because they're also pretty cheap. Yay! And so I got socks.

We grabbed dinner at Baker's Square because Rob had never eaten there before. I /had/ to get the french silk pie for dessert. It's what I always get there and it's also my favorite pie ever. He seemed to like the place.

After that I got my car washed (Lexus Luthor is clean!!!) and then headed back on the long road to our apartment. Lisa met up with us here and we spent an hour trying to figure out something to do. We finally decided to just get in a car and drive and see where we ended up (Rob was praying for Vegas or one of the casino's in Orange County). But then came the question of who should drive. I didn't want to drive cause I had made a trip all the way to Montclair and back today. And Lisa didn't want to drive cause she had spent the day driving around looking for a new apartment to live in. So we flipped a coin. I won and Lisa had to drive. As a side note, I wanted tails. And it was tails. Rob then proceded to flip tails another 15 times. He says the statistical probability of that is 1 in 32,768. I love my Math Weasel!

So we went out. Drove up Ventura Blvd. to Van Nuys Blvd. Then we got on the 101 headed to L.A. Hopped off on Sunset and drove that all the way to the 405. Headed south on the 405 so that Lisa could show us the area her new apartment is in. Ugh. Poor Lisa. She's moving to the ghetto. Cute apartment building, really scary neighborhood. *meeps*

After that I decided to call Mindy since we were in her neck of the woods (she lives in Santa Monica). She was home and bored so we went over to her house. She told us of a problem and asked if she could sue over it. Lisa and I told her the few nuggets of information we picked up in law school and I did a search on Martindale-Hubbel to get Mindy a few names of attorneys in her area who do personal injury litigation. I hope that turns out well for her. I don't want to post what happened to her because it's kind of private and she didn't tell me I could (I don't even know if she reads this), but let's just say, it was very bad and very nasty.

After Mindy's we all (Rob, Lisa, and I) headed back to my neck of the woods and grabbed some food at Twain's. Good food, kind of rude service.

And so I ended up back here. In the computer room posting on this journal.
