2002-10-24 8:59 AM Attack of the Creepy Wormies Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Tired I finally found out what those creepy worm things living in my kitchen are. I called my Mom cause she's seen a lot of bugs in her day and she knew exactly what was going on because it had happened to her awhile back. They're moth larva. How gross is that? And she said to look in the cabinet where we keep our bird seed for more of them. Sometimes there are eggs in bird seed packages. We looked down there and sure enough, that's where a lot of them were. We threw out everything they were in (bird seed, squirrel food, cat food, etc.) and killed all the ones we could find. And by "we" I mean Rob. He does the bug killing duties around the house. Then we had to head out to PetCo to get more cat food and to Target to get some air tight plastic containers. The cat food is now in a plastic container and out of the wormie cabnet. Our new squirrel and bird food is also in an air tight plastic container and out of the cabinet. Even after the whole mess was cleaned up last night we still kept finding worms. On the walls, ceiling, in other cabinets, already in a cocoon, etc. It's so gross! I won't go into the kitchen alone anymore cause I can't deal with them. And they're so weird - they're slow critters and yet they keep popping up. We'll look at a wall or something and nothing will be there, then a few seconds later one will be there. Ew, ew, ew! So disgusting! Anyway, I probably won't be posting again until Sunday. I don't know if I'll have computer access or not this weekend. If I can post, I will, but if nothing comes up until Sunday afternoon or evening, don't say I didn't warn you. 2 more days until my birthday. ----------
You are very royal, very demanding, very bad-ass.
