2004-02-06 11:44 AM Five Questions From Pita Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Sick - my allergies are acting up something fierce and my stomach is messed up. Read/Post Comments (0) These are the five questions that Pita gave me. Once again, if you want five questions from me, leave a comment and let me know. Complete instructions for this whole five questions thing are at the bottom of my "Five Questions From Kenny" entry.
---------- 1. If you had the choice between a job as a high paid, high profile case lawyer (hope that makes sense) and a job as a politician which would you take and why? That depends. If I had a good shot at becoming President one day, I'd pick the political career. Being President is the one career I would do almost anything for. It's a way to really make a difference and help people and the US. If I even had a shot at it, I'd go the political route. If it was just a career as a politician in general (with no shot at the White House) I'd pick the high paid / high profile attorney position. Money and fame can go a long way with me in certain circumstances. 2. Would you like to be a mother? Why or why not? Absolutely. Unfortunately, I doubt it's going to happen unless Rob and I adopt. I would love to be a mother because it would be extremely cool to bring a life into this world and to have someone who is a part of both Rob and myself. My maternal instincts have been kicking in as of late and I really want a kid (preferably a daughter - I wouldn't know what to do with a boy). Unfortunately, even if we could have a kid we're not ready yet. We're not by any means financially ready for a child. Besides, we're not even a year into our marriage. If I was working and we had the money, we'd probably already be trying to get me preggers. Also, chances are we're going to have to look into adoption. Not only is it going to be rather hard for me to conceive, but due to some health problems I have the longer I wait to try, the less chance there is of my surviving labor. 3. If you could change anything that's going on in your life right now what would it be and why? My job situation. Not only would I like to be able to find a job as an attorney ASAP, but I would also like to know where I'll be living later on this year. Job hunting all over the place sucks hard, but it sucks even worse when I have no clue if Rob and I will have to pick up and move at the spur of the moment. I've worked very hard to not only get my JD but also to pass the bar. It's very frustrating when I can't find a job. I know, the economy is tight and the job market sucks ass, but still - you would think it would be a bit easier when I'm a sworn in ready to practice attorney. 4. The entire world hangs in the balance, you have to work as a McDonald's cashier until you're 65 or everyone in the world perishes by penalty of spontaneous combustion, would you do it, why or why not? The answer depends on many different factors. A few of them being: - Would I also spontaneously combust if I didn't work at McDonald's? If so, then yes, I would work there. Working as a cashier at McD's is better than dying (or at least I would wager that it is). - Would the people I love and care about perish if I didn't work at McDonald's? If so, then yes, once again I would work there. I would do anything to protect the ones I loved. - But if myself and those I cared about would be all right, if only strangers would combust, then no - I wouldn't work there. I'd say it was time to break out the sticks and marshmallows. ;) 5. If a famous actor meets you (don't worry about how) and wants you. He offers you money, hot sex and says you'll never have to work again, would you forsake your life together with Rob for this gorgeous hunk? Why or why not? Is this actor James Marsters? Cause if so... Just kidding (I love you Rob). Seriously? I'd say no to him. As for the why: - Money: Yes, I like money. I'm materialistic and make no pretenses about this. But I want to make my own money. I don't want to live off of a man. I know first hand that being dependant on someone to help you out financially sucks ass. Besides, once my career as an attorney gets off the ground I have a reasonably decent chance of making a fairly nice salary. - Hot sex: I already have that. I'm not going to go into too much detail, but let's just say that I highly doubt someone could impress me more than Rob has in that department. - Never having to work again: Ugh! I want to work. That's why I went to law school. Even during this period between school and working I'm going stir crazy. If I never had to work again it would drive me insane. Even if I won the lottery I'd still work - I'd just do it on my terms. Not working ever again isn't something that appeals to me at all. - And as a side note, there's something to be said about being married to your soul mate. I wouldn't give that up for anything.
