2004-03-15 3:54 PM Game Store Run Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Eh Read/Post Comments (5) Yesterday (Sunday), Rob and I slept in a little and then took our time getting ready. Right after the sun set we decided to make a run out. We headed to Pasadena and made a quick stop off at the bank to deposit some checks we had. We then headed down Colorado and went to The Game Zone. We looked around in there for a bit and picked up a few things. Rob got two D&D books (of the 3.5 system) and I picked up another D&D book for Rob that he had been eyeing. After the game store we headed home. All in all we had a relaxing weekend and other than the game store run didn't do much of anything. Even so, it was a great weekend. Rob's been tired recently due to work being hell so the sleeping in was good for him. And I haven't been feeling too good recently (nasty stomach problems) so the staying around the house was good for me. It's so nice that Rob and I can spend a weekend in doing pretty much nothing and enjoy it. I just like being around him no matter what we're doing. Besides, spending a lot of time in bed has other perks as well. Today it's back to the same old crap. Rob's slaving away at work. I'm here job hunting and doing the laundry. Tina came over at 2:30 this afternoon. She's our pet sitter and we need her here the weekend of Rob's b-day. So, we went over everything and I paid her for the days she'll be cat sitting. You know you have a great pet sitter when both kitties run over to her for attention and lovies the minute she walks in the door. I also showed her the wedding album (which she dug) and that reminded me that Rob and I REALLY need to develop all the disposable cameras from our wedding and our film from the honeymoon. Hopefully, we'll actually remember to do that sometime soon. Every time we have the time do make a run and get the developed we forget to do it. Must. Develop. Film. Very. Soon. So, that's about all that's going on with me. I need a job and I need one fast. I'm going nuts without one. Unfortunately, nothing is happening with just me job hunting and no one is really willing or able ot give me a hand. Of all the resumes I have sent out recently I've heard back from NONE. Not even a thanks but no thanks letter. I haven't even heard back from Bela Lugosi (the guy my dad told me to send my resume to). Nothing. This whole job hunt thing is really beginning to get me down. Until you're in the position of being unemployed and looking desperately for work, you really don't know how depressing it can be. ----------
In medieval Europe, dragons were considered mostly evil and a generally bad omen. Christianity linked the dragon with Satan because of the dragon's snake-like appearance. However, to the Orient cultures the dragon was a symbol of wisdom and royalty. It was a benign animal and the fifth creature of the Chinese zodiac. It resided over the east and the sunrise. It was also said to bring rain and the springtime. The dragon is interesting because it combines all four elements: air, earth, fire, and water. It could fly, had the horns of a ox, breathed fire, and resided over the moon. Read/Post Comments (5) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
