Today Rob and I got up at 7am. Ugh. I had another hair appointment at Gebhart. My "black cherry" red faded to a reddish brown that I really wasn't digging. The brown was just too dark for my complexion (for those of you not in the know I have very pale skin, blue eyes, and naturally dark blonde hair - it just hasn't been my exact natural color since mid-high school). Originally Shannon was going to head out to my hair appointment with us to check out my salon, but she called around 6:45am and told us that she was under the weather. Totally understandable. Hope you feel better Shannon!

We headed out of the house around 7:45am and got to the salon an hour later. I had a 9am appointment, so when I got there I changed into a color robe and got started. Since I didn't like what the previous red had faded to, I decided to go a light to medium red this time. We got there at 8:45am. We left the salon around 5pm. Yup, that's right, a little over 8 hours at the salon today. First they took the dark color out. When they had it up to a workable color I was in the shampoo bowl for a while getting protein treatments to make sure that my hair stayed in good shape during this process. Then they dried me and put some filler on me. Another trip to the shampoo bowl, another round of drying, and then an orangish dye was put onto me. Yet another trip to the shampoo bowl and more drying and then a red dye was put onto me. After that set they washed me out yet again and I got a blow out. I really dig the color it is now. If you ever want to get your hair colored and need a new salon I *highly* recommend checking out Gebhart. The owners train a ton of other salons that use the Redken system of coloring. Including some of the big name ones in Beverly Hills. So, my color is now a light red. More of an orangish red (but still very natural looking - just a touch darker than Lucy's in Bram Stoker's Dracula - if you've ever seen that movie) than a black cherry red. I love it. And hopefully this will fade to either a light red or a strawberry blonde and NOT a brown tone.

After the hair appointment Rob and I picked up food at Long John Silver's. Yum. Crack batter. After yummy fish and chicken planks I filled my car up with gas (it's about ten cents cheaper out in the boonies) and ran it through an automated wash. We then headed back towards home. On the way back we stopped at the game store. I bought the Miniatures Handbook for D&D, a dice bag with red Asian dragons on it, and two Archfiends D&D miniatures packs. Rob got the Unearthed Arcana book for D&D, two packs of miniatures, and a Cthulhu hand puppet for the car. He's still going to use defamation duck, but no one seems to notice the bright yellow duck waving at them anymore. Perhaps they will notice one of the Old Ones waving it's mighty tentacles at them. Then again, people are pretty oblivious now-a-days.

We also made a pit stop for some Jamba Juice and then came home. We went through our miniatures and then took a nap. We were completely passed out from 8pm until a bit after 10pm. Now we're watching TV and chilling out around the house. No set plans for tomorrow so we're going to be sleeping in!
