Friday night was D&D. The whole group was there and we ordered in Chin Chin's. It took a while though, because somewhere along the way we lost the menu. The game was fun and Rob warned us that there was probably going to be some combat during the next game.

Saturday Rob and I woke up early and headed down to Redondo Beach to pick up my wedding dress. Claudine had cleaned and preserved it. Unfortunately, the 101 and the 405 were at a complete standstill for most of the drive so we ended up getting there about an hour after we had told her. Luckily, she said we weren't keeping her from anything. We talked with her for awhile, picked up the dress, and then headed out to Santa Monica. We hadn't been there in a while and decided to hit the Promenade area.

We got there early enough that parking wasn't a problem. Both of us were rather hungry, so we hit Bucca De Beppo for some spaghetti and ceasar salad. Yummy. We then walked around the Promenade for awhile. I got a few items at Sephora which we put in the car before heading to a local movie theatre. We ended up seeing a 7-something showing of Super Size Me. Wow. Everyone who eats fast food (especially McDonald's) really needs to see this movie. I don't think Rob and I will be eating at many fast food restaurants anymore. It was a really well done documentary and what this guy went through was frightening. Who knew that eating at McDonald's could turn your liver into pate and make you just as sick as a long term alcoholic? Frightening stuff. Seriously, go see this film. It's a real eye-opener. After the movie we walked around the Promenade a bit more and then headed home.

Sunday we slept in and spent the day doing errands and household chores. We cleaned out the cabinets in the kitchen and threw out all of the old stuff that had been pushed to the back. We also cleaned out the fridge and the freezer. Then we made a grocery store run and re-stocked our place with non-expired edible things (including things for dinner for the next few nights). We cooked dinner in and watched some TV and Adult Swim before something really bad hit me.

Around midnight I began to feel very ill. Things got worse as the night went on and I was making bathroom runs (that would last about a half an hour) every 5-10 minutes or so. Rob took my temp and it was only around 97. I was getting cold and the more I ran to the bathroom the weaker and dizzier I became. Rob kept having me drink Gatorade to keep my fluid levels up. The bathroom running was annoying, but the bad part was the pain. My stomach and below felt like there were knives imbedded in them. I was in horrible pain and neither Rob nor myself really got any decent sleep that night.

Monday morning I was still extremely ill and Rob debated about staying home from work to look after me, but I made him go to work anyway. His boss wouldn't understand him taking the day off and he knew that so he did go in. I spent most of the day making bathroom runs and being in severe pain. Luckily, I was able to get some small bouts of sleep. During the afternoon I also became nauseous and began throwing up. My temperature even hit just below 96 at one point. When Rob got home from work he took good care of me until we went to sleep.

Today I still don't feel so hot, but at least I can function enough to come online. I'm still feeling ill and making bathroom runs, but it's not as often as it was yesterday. I'm still in pain, but it's not as crippling as yesterday. I'm slowly getting better and whatever the hell is wrong with me (stomach bug maybe) is passing.
