2004-06-09 4:01 PM Like A Hibernating Bear Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Sick Read/Post Comments (2) I don't know what the hell kind of bug I've come down with, but it's knocked me on my ass. While I am definitely getting better (less trips screaming to the bathroom) and the pain has subsided (it's gone from horribly painful to downright annoying), I'm sleeping like a hibernating bear. Normally on weekdays I get up at a decent hour to work on job hunting, but the past few days I've been sleeping through the alarm and barely able to get up when I do wake up. It's frustrating when I have a lot of things that I need to get done, but I suppose it's also my body's way of shutting me down for a bit so that it can kick this bug out of me. I really want to get back to normal soon. I have things I need to get done that I can't get done if I can't drag my ass out of bed. Also, the whole shivering and cold thing is really sucking. Last night I even had to have a down throw over me in bed to stop the shivering. Until I'm back to normal I'm going to be getting as much sleep as my body wants and drinking a lot Gatorade and juice. On the bright side of things, Rob got some vacation time off in early July, so we're going to be heading out to visit my Mom. Yay!!! I didn't think I'd be able to head out there any time other than for the winter holidays, so I'm extremely happy about this. This also means that we'll be able to do some of the fun things that can't be done in the winter - like heading out onto the lake in a pontoon boat and scaring people while pretending to be pirates. I can't wait until we head out there! My Mom got us the plane tickets this morning. The other cool thing about heading out there in July is that things won't be so insane and rushed because of Xmas. We can just chill out and relax. Nice. ----------
