2004-06-19 1:46 AM D&D Night Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Fuzzy-headed Read/Post Comments (3) Tonight was our D&D game and everyone was there. We brought in another sandwich platter from Togo's, so dinner was yummy. Others brought things such as chips and candy. Props to Bryce for the tub of Red Vines which he managed to get for free at the grocery store since it rang up more than the price on the shelf said. If you don't know much about Dungeons and Dragons (or just don't care) you might want to skip the following paragraph. I really enjoyed playing my new character tonight. My previous one was a part black / part silver dragon (cleric of Io - the God of all Dragons). However, playing a dragon gave Rob (who is our DM) a major headache and so we worked out something else for me to play. I'm now playing a half-fiend (mother was a human, father is Dispater - the devil who is on the second layer of Baator) with 6 levels of Hexblade, 2 levels of Disciple of Dispater, and 2 levels of Blackguard (she started off with 1 Blackguard level, but was able to get her second one after tonight's game). I made her extremely anti-Abyssal and anti-Gnoll which is what the party mostly deals with. She's also extremely diplomatic which seems to work well with the party because no one has yet taken up the mantle of the "go-to" person of the party. Hopefully, she'll get along and work well with all the other characters. So far, it's worked. Okay, geeky D&D paragraph done. Anyway, the game was a blast and Rob (as usual) kicked ass as the DM. It went a bit longer than our games usually run, but we managed to get a decent amount done. When people headed out we worked on leveling my character and her fiendish (it has red eyes and little bat-like wings) turtle familiar. I decided to log on for a bit to get my Neopets stuff done for the day and to make this entry. When I head off Rob and I will probably be heading to sleep. We don't have any major plans for this weekend. We're going to play it by ear and hopefully catch a movie or two and maybe get some shopping done. There's a few things we need to make a mall run for. We'll see what we feel up to and what time we manage to drag our butts out of bed. ----------
