This morning, the unthinkable happened. Something so bizarre and so rare that it makes alien abductions (complete with anal probes) look like an everyday occurence. Rob drove. Yes, I just typed "Rob drove". This morning was his first driver's ed class. He and some poor soul damned to teach people how to drive in LA went out in a car. He even drove on the 101! Amazingly enough, he came back and the instructor is not quitting. In fact, he'll be back again next Saturday morning for Rob's second lesson. For the next few weekends, you all might want to stay off the streets in our neighborhood on Saturday mornings between 9am and 10:30am. Just for safety's sake.

When he got back from his lesson he told me all about it and then we both went back to sleep. In the early afternoon our delivery came. We now have our new dresser and nightstand (both of which will be used by Rob - I use my Grandma's antique dresser and already have a nightstand on my side of the bed). We then decided it was time to get up, get ready, and head out.

We headed to the AMC 6 in Burbank and saw a 7:30 showing of Collateral. It was an extremely good movie. Probably one of the better ones that I've seen recently. It was also very interesting to see Tom Cruise playing a villain (though he was very sexy doing so) and Jamie Foxx playing a non-comedic character. Somehow, it worked very well. I highly recommend this film. Unlike most films of this genre, it fleshes out the characters before the action and plot take off. It was extremely well done and I'm very glad we went to see it.

After the movie we headed to Chevy's for some yummy Mexican food. We then made a quick stop in Barnes and Noble for me to pick up the latest issue of Fangoria magazine. After that we headed out of Burbank, made a quick pit stop at the drug store, and headed home. Once we got home we worked on cleaning up a bit more of the bedroom and putting things into Rob's new nightstand. We'll work on the dresser tomorrow. Now, we're just messing around with online stuff like Neopets. Tomorrow we have tentative plans with Berek and Pita.
