This morning Berek called around 8:30am to let us know that he and Pita needed to take a pass on Dim Sum. She wasn't feeling very well. It was cool with me because by the time he called I had only gotten about an hour of sleep. So, Rob and I passed out after his call.

We got up a bit later and decided to head back to the Northridge mall and do some things around there. Our first stop up there was the mall itself. I decided to get the other pair of flip flops because they were such a good deal (see yesterday's entry). While at Torrid I also got a "cute but psycho" Happy Bunny purse for Pita. After Torrid Rob and I looked around Hot Topic and I found an action figure for the big shit monster from Dogma and I picked that up for Berek.

After the mall we headed over to the movie theatre there and saw a 7pm showing of The Exorcist. It was a very mediocre movie. It wasn't as bad as some of the reviews had been saying it was, but it wasn't good either. The ending part with the demon was coolish. Overall I'm glad I saw it, but it's not something I'm going to be wanting to see again. Like I said, very mediocre.

After the movie we headed to dinner at a place called Claim Jumper. Neither Rob nor I have ever been there. I got a little creeped out while waiting up front for a table because something smelled like formaldehyde. Ech. Once we got seated I couldn't smell it anymore. The food there was good but the portions were insanely large and we have a lot left over. All in all it's a pretty decent restaurant and I wouldn't mind stopping back there again.

When we were done with dinner we made a quick run to Berek and Pita's place. Pita was sick and in bed so we just talked with Berek. I dropped off the presents I got for them and Berek gave me a really cool dragon pen that he got for me at a local swap meet. He showed me some of the things that he and Pita got there and Rob and I now really need to head to that swap meet sometime. After talking for a little while we headed home. At home we did some work for a cohort for my D&D character and now we're on the computers in the business center.

Take the quiz: "Which Daria character are you?"

Daria
You're Daria, the title character! You're the poster child for sarcasm. Although quite intelligent, you have a hidden vulnerability from feeling so different.
