This morning Rob had his third driving lesson. Looks like he might be taking his road test in about three weeks. Scary, isn't it? Then it's going to be time to check out a car for him.

When Rob got back from his driving lesson we headed out to Montclair for our hair appointments. We had a bit of a tire scare on the way there. While driving on the freeway I ran over something in the middle of the road (which, sadly enough, is very common place in LA - driving on LA freeways is like playing a game of Pole Position). Then, while making a turn, one of my tires (don't know which one) felt like it was skipping. As I've learned from my previous encounters with numerous tire problems, this is usually a sign that one of the tires is low on air. So, we finished our trip to my hair salon and checked all the tires when we got there. They all looked good.

My hair appointment was at 12:45pm. I stuck with the same color of red again. However, next time I'm probably changing it to a dark golden blonde. I love the red that my hair is when I come out of the salon, but it only lasts that way for a few days. By the end of the week it's a very faded red and I don't like the faded color too much. So, I'm going to go with something that won't fade as much. I swear, if anyone out there came up with a red hair dye that didn't fade out quickly they would make a *fortune*. Margie didn't switch me to the blonde today because I only booked a one process and that's all she had time for. That's fine because it gives me some time to make sure that I want to switch to the dark golden blonde. While I was getting my hair done Rob got his hair cut. We ended up skipping lunch today because my stomach was having some problems and I didn't want to make matters worse in the middle of a hair appointment.

After the salon we headed to the mall in Montclair. I made a run into Torrid to try on the pirate wench Halloween costume that I've been trying to get for the last two years. They only put them out recently, and they already only had one left in my size. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get it. It was super cool, but it was one of those tops where there's a line right below the breasts. My breasts wouldn't fit into that area (for those who don't know me I'm a G cup and really considering breast reduction surgery down the road). So... that sucked major ass. I did pick up one thing when I was there - a Happy Bunny pillow and throw set. But, I'm once again at a loss for what to do as my Halloween costume this year. I need to find something though because last year I just threw some devil horns on last minute because I couldn't find anything. I want something cool. Any and all ideas would be appreciated. I so wish I could maybe find a cool Medusa wig, but all the ones I've seen suck ass.

After the mall we headed to Chili's where we met up with Kat, her husband Marcelo, and their son Marcelo. It was nice hanging out with them again and seeing the baby. I think it's been a year since I last saw him. I so wish I could have a kid. I'm the last of my bloodline and if I don't find a surrogate so that I can have a kid who is genitically mine, then my family line will die with me. That's a rather depressing thought.

After dinner Rob and I made our way home with a brief stop at the Game Zone in Pasadena for some D&D miniatures. Hey Berek and Pita: I got the Glabrezu and Rob got the Raksasha. Sweet! When we got home we relaxed and watched some TV. Now we're both on the computers at the business center and are about to start a round of Neopets.

Oh, I almost forgot to post this. I got the coolest letter in the mail today from the hotel where Rob and I booked our weekend getaway for my 30th b-day. You know how a lot of letters that are addressed to a couple will read "Mr. and Mrs. Man's Name". I doubt I'm the only woman who is bothered by this, especially considering my first name is not my husband's name and my last name is not his last name. Well, this was the first time I have ever seen a letter addressed the other way around! It was to Mr. and Mrs. my name. How cool is that? I'm saving that envelope.
