2004-09-13 4:39 PM Under The Weather Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Sick Read/Post Comments (5) Wow, we're almost half way into September and there has only been one comment on my journal so far. Has it been that boring recently? Oh well, to be honest I do this for myself anyway and it just has the side benefit of keeping people up to date on my life. Oh another wow note, it's the middle of September and LA has the temperature of the center of hell. Last Saturday when we went out to the Inland Empire it was sizzling. Ugh. Temps really need to cool off soon. Saturday night after I posted I ended up getting really sick. Not to gross you out or anything, but everything in my body was rushing out both ends. Rob was kind enough to head out to the 7-11 on the corner and get me some Pepto and some Gatorade. Gatorade is amazing for keeping you hydrated when you're sick. The Pepto helped and eventually I was able to fall asleep without running to the bathroom every ten minutes or so. Sunday when we got up I felt a bit better. We called Berek to see if he wanted to hang, but got his Dad because Berek was driving. His Dad said Berek would call us back when he was done driving, but he never called. It was rather lucky that we ended up staying in last night. Granted I felt fine, but that was until I ate dinner. Then it was more trips into the bathroom. So, staying in was a very good thing because I was still rather sick. We watched TV, and started learning the D&D miniatures game. We mostly have been using the minis so that we know where our characters are in a fight in our table top game. But, we figured since we have a good collection of them now that we might as well start to learn the actual miniatures game. It's really rather fun! Today I'm still sick. I haven't eaten anything since last night and I'm still having to make bathroom runs. I spoke to my Mom on the phone today and she said it sounds like something she and my Grandma both came down with awhile ago. She said it lasts about 4 days or so. Ugh. It's times like these when I'm glad I don't have work. I'm not the type to call in sick, but it would be hard for me to be without a bathroom right now. Plus, I'm so exhausted. Luckily my being sick isn't interfering with what I needed to do today. I can still job hunt and do laundry and all that. I just wish I was feeling better. ----------
