Mood:
Worried about a possible girlie problem.

This morning (Saturday) turned out to be not-so-good for Rob. He got up, got dressed, and went outside for the driving instructor to come by at 9am. Around 9:30am when he hadn't yet shown up he decided to call the driving school. Apparently, he wasn't scheduled for a lesson this morning even though he and the instructor agreed upon doing the lessons every Saturday morning at 9am until he was ready to take the road test at the DMV. So, he left a message for the instructor and went back to bed. Around 1pm, the instructor called and said that they had forgot to book him and the instructor called him this morning and left a message at his office (how worthless is that on a Saturday morning?) to let him know there would be no lesson this morning. *sigh* To make matters worse, the instructor completely ignored my advice of booking a DMV time two weeks ago and now claims he can't get an appointment for Rob to take his road test any time before the end of October. This puts a HUGE crimp in my Mom coming out here to get Rob a car in November. So, I'm thinking, she might want to plan coming out here either way and we can just hope that Rob passes his road test on the first or second try. The instructor offered Rob a lesson on Sunday at 7:30am. Because Rob just wants to get this over and done with he agreed to it. I feel so bad for him. Now he doesn't get any days this week to sleep in and he really needs some time to sleep in. He's so overworked during the work week. My poor sweetie.

Today we didn't feel like seeing a movie (I'm having some possible non-period related girlie problems - I need to wait it out and see if the symptoms get worse, if they do I'll probably post about it privately), so we decided to hit some stores. We first went to the Glendale Galleria. We stopped in Limited Too to see if they had any Meepits in stock. They were sorely lacking in the Meepits. We also stopped in Hot Topic where Rob picked up an H.R. Giger calender. We then ate at the Mongolian B-B-Q place and headed out of the mall.

Our next stop was at The Game Zone in Pasadena where we realized just how un-cool we really are. Driving through Pasadena on a Saturday night, heading to a game store, and listening to the Undercover Brother soundtrack and a best of Michael Jackson CD. Oh yeah, we're geeks (and loving it). At the game store Rob picked up two new D&D books (Monster Manuel 3, and FrostBurn) and some D&D miniatures. I got some D&D minis and some neat looking dice.

After the game store we headed to a drug store near us. I needed to pick up some prescriptions. We then made a stop at the ATM and headed to the Borders in Sherman Oaks. Unfortunately, it looks like Berek has all the luck when it comes to Meepit hunting because they didn't have a single Meepit there. In fact, one of the people told us that they are no longer going to carry any Neopets merchandise. Dammit. Must. Get. More. Meepits. I did manage to get three cool DVDs for excellent prices. I got the amazingly bad Troma film Class of Nuke Em High Part 2 (featuring none other than Tromie the Nuclear Mutated Squirrel), the schlocky cheesecake that I love so much called Nightmare Sisters, and possibly the worst movie ever made The Killer Shrews (in some scenes the shrew costumes fall off and you can see that underneath them are dogs). So, at least I found some cool movies.

After Borders we stopped at Ralph's for some groceries and then made our way back home. Not sure exactly what we're going to do tomorrow - we're mulling some things over. Part of it depends on if my girlie problem gets worse, stays the same, or really isn't a problem at all. Yeah, I'm gonna privately post about it when I'm done with this. Read it at your own risk.
