Highly caffeinated.

Last night insomnia kicked in and I wasn't able to fall asleep until 7:45am. The alarm went off at 9:15am. Ugh. Going on one and a half hours of sleep is not a good thing - especially when I had a lot of driving to do today. Hooray for caffeine.

Rob and I headed out of the apartment around 10:15am. We got to Gebhart (my hair salon) a bit early. Not a big, I would much rather be there early than late. Today I changed my hair color again. I loved the red right when I walked out of the salon, but it would fade within a few days. And while the faded red was still cute it was just that - faded red. So, I decided to try going to a medium to dark golden blonde. Kind of a caramel color. It took awhile to do, but I like it. First was the protein treatments, then the filler, then the color. There's still a wee bit of red in some of the strands up front, but I kind of like that. The rest of my hair turned out a cool darker shade of golden blonde. I like it a lot. I think next time I might add just a few highlights around my face. When the coloring was done with I got my hair cut again. The ends needed it. It's back to chin length again.

After a four hour process, it was 3:30pm and Rob and I headed to the mall. We looked around various stores and I found some super cool club dresses at Torrid. One is a flapper dress. It's black and looks really good on me. The other is a shiny black vinyl short dress. Very Matrix-y. That one doesn't look as good on me as the flapper dress, but it's still super cool. Both dresses are meant to be Halloween costumes, but I think they're perfect for things like Dungeon. I also found an incredible t-shirt for The Last Unicorn, but the sales girl forgot to ring it up and I didn't realize it until it was way too late and we were all the way home. I need to try and find the shirt online. I absolutely loved it.

After the mall we headed to dinner. We were going to go to Buca De Beppo, but we couldn't find any parking. So, we headed to Chili's. Dinner was yummy and Rob and I once again wondered why the hell there isn't one out near us.

After dinner we decided to stop at Kohl's. I've never been to one in California. I've been to one in Wisconsin a few years back and one of the good things I remembered about it was that they actually had bra's in my size (it was the only place I ever found bras in my size). So, I checked out their lingerie section, but this is California and not Wisconsin and the largest bra they had was a 42 DD. Sorry, I have way bigger boobies than that. Their plus size clothing section left much to be desired, but I did find a neat black waterproof (and warm) jacket. Hey, if I have the rain boots I might as well make sure I have a rain coat as well, right?

When we were done with Kohl's we hopped onto the freeway and made our way back home with a few minor pit stops. Pit stop number one was at The Game Zone in Pasadena. I ended up getting the November issue of Dragon magazine, a suppliment on Drows, and a few boxes of Dragoneye D&D minis. Rob got the new Libris Mortus book (we didn't even know it was out yet) and a couple of boxes of Giants of Legend D&D minis. Our second pit stop was at the Boba Bar. We called to ask what time they were open to (it was a bit after 9:30pm at this point) and they told us they closed at 11pm. So, we headed there and got there at 10:03pm. They were already closed. Fuckers. So, our third pit stop was at Starbucks to get some more caffeine in me.

I'm riding a pretty good caffeine wave right now and I have been all day. I have a feeling when I crash, I will crash hard. And in a way, I hope I kind of do. I'm sick of insomnia and could use a good night sleep for once.
