Yesterday rocked. It was definitely the best b-day I have ever had. Rob and I got up around 10am (we had wanted to get up earlier but had some consciousness issues) and Shannon came by around 11am with a HUGE balloon bouquet. I was very surprised by it. She rocks. I finished up getting ready and the three of us headed out to lunch at In N Out Burger. I haven't had their burgers there in a long time and it sounded so good. Shannon even clued us in that there's "In N Out lingo" that you can use to order things that are not on the menu. I'll have to check that out online sometime.

After lunch we headed to the bank so I could get some cash out of the ATM. Then, it was on to Sunset Strip Tattoo. It's where I found Chester and I know it's the best tattoo place in LA. So, I thought I'd head back there and see if I could find a new tattoo artist that I liked. I did! When I first got there I looked for dragon designs, but none popped out at me. So, I'll be having Rob design a dragon for me and head back there to get it done. I ended up getting the Bast tattoo done. For those of you not in the know, I have a tattoo of Set on my right shoulder. It's a black hieroglyph, has a green eye, and has an ankh done in a yellow/orange color. I've always been meaning to get a match done on the other shoulder. Yesterday I did. It's a hieroglyph of Bast done in back, with a green eye, and a yellow/orange triple goddess symbol on her. The tattoo artist I found there was Rob. Heh, guess you can't go wrong with men named Rob. And, on the bright side, I won't forget his name when I need my next one done. He was super cool, fun to talk with, and did an amazing job on my tattoo. When I was done, Shannon decided that it was also time for her to go under the needle again. She wanted to cover up a scar from her surgery that's just above her belly-button. She got a purple rose with black thorns. It looks amazing. We both like the tattoo artist Rob and will DEFINITELY be going back to him in the future. We were both happy to have found a new tattoo guy.

After getting our tattoos done we headed to the Glendale Galleria so that Rob could get me my b-day present. He ended up getting me a gorgeous purple Coach purse. I love it. Unfortunately, the people in Coach were retarded and we had a hell of a time trying to get them to get my last name right for the shipping address on a special order that they didn't have in their store. I guess we just had such luck at the tattoo place that we were destined to deal with morons for the rest of the day. After the Coach store we stopped at a coffee place. I got some weird plum drink with Boba in it. It was really rather good. Then we decided to take off and get to Dave and Busters early.

The rain was nasty on our way out there, but we still managed to make it in decent time. We got to Dave and Busters early and just hung out in the bar for awhile. When Al showed up we got a table and ordered some appitizers while waiting for Berek and Pita. They were running behind because Berek needed to borrow his Dad's car since his was having trouble. Once Berek and Pita arrived we ordered dinner. They showed up with a ton of presents for me. A HUGE stuffed bear, a stuffed frogay, and stuffed fishay, and the Friday the 13th boxed set (1-8). Damn. Shannon sold me out to the wait staff and I got "Happy Birthday" sung to me. Embarassing, but cool. Unfortunately, after dinner, Shannon and Rob weren't feeling so good. I also started feeling ill but was a lot better after a trip to the bathroom. Shannon wasn't so lucky. We played the games for awhile (with the tickets I got from the game I got myself a purple fish and Shannon a purple 80's style jelly bracelet) and then headed out because it was getting late and people were feeling sick. We thought it was from the burger, but I found out later today that it was probably from something else. Shannon took it easy on the drive home because the rain was bad and there were morons everywhere. We even saw THREE people run a red light when we had the green coming off the 101 at Cauhenga. Sheesh. Shannon dropped us off at home and then Rob made a quick run across the street to Ralph's to pick up some Noxema and bandages for my tattoo. We went to sleep shortly thereafter.

This morning before Rob went to work we washed and Noxema'd my tattoo. He said it looks really cool. We then re-bandaged it. I'm waiting to shower until he gets home since I can't reach it and it will need to have Noxema put on it immediatly after the shower. I got a call from Berek today and he said that he and Pita also fell ill after eating at the restaurant last night. however, Berek did not have a burger. Al was the only one who felt fine and the only things that Al did not eat that the rest of us did were the nachos and quesadillas. So, Berek and I think that it might have been the chicken that gave us problems. It would make sense becasue the reaction we're all having is more of a chicken food poisoning than a beef one. Either way, I still had a ton of fun yesterday and I think it would be safe to say that ir was my best b-day ever.

Rob, thank you so much for taking the day off of work for me. I really appreciate it (especially with how busy you've been at work recently) and it was nice being able to spend the whole day with my sweetie.

Shannon, you are a Goddess. Thank you so much for putting the day aside for me and being the driver. Not having to drive on my b-day is one of the coolest things in the world. You rock! Oh, and you're right - it is hard to surprise me and those balloons were a very pleasant surprise. Thank you for everything.

Al, I don't know if you ever read this or not, but thank you. I know it's rough driving in heavy traffic and pouring rain from Torrence to Arcadia and then back to Long Beach, but I appreciate you being there. It was great being able to hang again.

Berek and Pita - thank you as well. I appreciate the drive you guys had to make out to the restaurant and back and the gifts rocked. Though, I still think you got me too much.
