No More TV For Us

Pissed at our apartment complex.

Last night Rob and I made a run to the Sherman Oaks mall. There were a few things I needed to pick up.

Our first stop was in the beauty store, because I needed to get more shampoo and conditioner (and the place across the street from us is always out of it). Unfortunately, they no longer carry any products from The Pure Shop. *sigh* So, that was a bust.

Our second stop was at the Disney Store. Every winter they get in the cutest slippers, and I wanted to see if they had them in again this year. They did, and I got some. Unfortunately, when we got home and I tried them on I found out that they're way too big. I got the size I usually get (Large 9-10) because my shoe size is a 9. But these run super big, so I'm going to need to return them and get a medium sometime.

Our third stop was at Sephora. I needed to get some more Philosophy body wash. I ended up finding three scents I loved. One was Eggnog, another was Cinnamon Buns, and the third was Apple Cider. They all smell soooo yummy. I got all three because I go through body wash rather quickly.

Our fourth stop was at the Limited Too. We checked to see if they had any more Meepits in. They did. Hooray for Meepits!

Our fifth stop was at Lane Bryant. I wanted to get a PJ set of a long sleeve shirt and pants. Unfortunately, they're sold in sets and the sizes didn't work out for me. In one size, the shirt was WAY too tight, but the pants fit perfectly. In another size the shirt fit perfectly, but the pants were falling off. They wouldn't allow me to mix the sizes so I decided to not buy the PJ's. It's so annoying being a larger size on top because of my boobs and a smaller one on the bottom. *sigh* I really do need to get a boob reduction sometime.

Our sixth stop was at Bath and Body Works. I needed to pick up some hand lotion there and was pleasantly surprised by a new scent - black raspberry vanilla. It smelled so good. I also had a coupon for a free flavored lip gloss, so I got one in Creme Brulee. (Hey Shannon, don't forget to use the other coupon I had - it expires in a few weeks).

Our seventh stop was at the food court for dinner. We got Subway for dinner and Cinnabon for dessert. Our last stop was at the bookstore where Rob found some humerous books - one of them on how to be a ninja. We then headed out of the mall and went home for the night.

I am currently really pissed off at our apartment building. Rob and I would like to move sometime in the near future, but I don't know if we will or not because we had wanted to stay put until we could afford to buy a house or a condo. Not only am I upset about the maggot ball in our sink incident - but they also are forcing us to pay a lot of money for TV service. Ever since we moved in, the building had cable set up in the apartments and payed for the cable service (as well they should when rent is $2140 a month). Well, they're now switching us from cable to dish. Okay, cool. Or so it seemed. They're not paying any portion of the dish. And we looked the packet over last night and it's going to be very expensive to get dish service. Cable is cheaper, but we won't be able to choose to get cable on our own because the building is making the cable company remove all their equiptment from the building. So, our choice is to pay a ton of money for dish, or to not have TV. We don't know if the cost of having dish service will fit in our budget at the moment - especially since I'm still out of work. So, there's a decent chance that come December 1, we will no longer have functioning TVs in our apartment because we won't be able to afford dish service. See why I want to move?

On a lighthearted note, Sydney is a freak. Rob used a Q-Tip this morning and buried it deep in the trash can so Sydney couldn't find it. Somehow, Sydney knew it was in there. So he tipped the trash over to rummage through everything to get to the bottom where the Q-Tip was buried. I have no idea how he even knew it was there. My cat is weird.
