So happy that I am no longer the only one driving!

Last night insomnia kicked in yet again. I finally ended up falling asleep around 8am. Unfortunately, the alarm went off at 11am. I'm going on three hours of sleep, and yet am strangely awake. I really hope to get some sleep tonight because tomorrow I need to get up at 7:30am.

My Mom's flight came into LAX around 11am. She got to the apartment around 12:30pm. It so rocks to have her out here again! We hung around the house for a bit and then headed to lunch at In N' Out. Yummy. After lunch we went to the Toyota dealer to finish everything up with Rob's new car. We gave them the cashier's check for the balance, showed them proof of insurance, and got the car. I drove back home in my car and Rob drove his car back with my Mom as the passenger. He's very nervous about driving the car and still doesn't know the length or width of it, but that's totally normal and he should get the hang of it soon.

After coming home we did a few things around the house (like cleaning out the fridge) and then headed out again in Rob's car. Luthor is getting a much needed break. Rob drove over to Burbank and we went to Target. We got a Xmas tree, some light, and some ornaments. I haven't had a tree since I moved out here in 1992, so this was very special for me. We also picked up a tire pressure gauge for Rob's new car. We still need to find something to top the tree with. I won't use an angel or a star or any of that traditional crap. I grew up with a pair of stuffed mice at the top of my family's tree, and I want something equally cool and unique. Rob and I are tempted to see if we can convert a stuffed Meepit into a tree topper. All hail the Meepits!

After Target we made a pit stop for gas. The Toyota dealer said that they filled the car up with gas, but they lied and the car was almost empty. So, we got gas and then my Mom drove the new car over to Citywalk. Wow, now I know why Rob and I don't head up to Universal on the weekend. Way too many people. The only reason we went there was for dinner. We ate at Shanghai and Mein (best Chinese restaurant in the world with the best dumplings ever) and then headed out. On the way home we made a stop off at the grocery store for some foodage and other items and then headed back home. Now we're just chilling out around the house. Time for me to head off and spend some time with my hubby and my Mom.
