Saturday Rob and I got up at 7am and got ready and finished packing. The limo picked us up at 9am and we headed to LAX. The limo made it there quickly and dropped us off at Terminal 7 because we were flying on United. We went into the Terminal and could not, for the life of us, find the first class check in line. We asked someone and they told us we had to go to Terminal 6 - which was for United's international flights. For some reason, that's where the first class check in line is. So, we made our way over there and checked in. We encountered a problem during check in. My Mom upgraded our tickets with her airline miles that she gets through her United credit card. Since my last name is hyphenated and not EXACT to hers, she had to sign something when she flew out here back in November saying that I was related to her. They didn't have that on file and I was told that she never signed it. So, we got her on the phone and had her talk to the check in guy. Things worked out and we got our boarding passes. The line to get up to the security checkpoint was horrible. However, the first class line had one other person in it. We were through security and to the gate in no time.

Before he flight we stopped in a store so Rob could get a banana smoothie and he also ended up getting me a small Beanie Baby stuffed bull. It meant a lot to me because the last present I received from my Grandfather when I was a kid before he died was a stuffed red bull. Rob got me a small red bull. He's such a sweetie sometimes. Since we were flying first class we got on the plane when boarding started. The seats in first class were nice and comfy. Our plane was at full capacity and it took a while before we were able to get in the air because it took forever to load all the luggage. We had a movie on our flight (Princess Diaries 2). I kind of watched it on and off. It was cute, but not something I would watch if I weren't trapped in the air. The flight was very turbulant and there was a good chunk of time when even the flight attendants had to be seated. Rob and I also had a total "Final Destination" moment while in the air. The guy in the row in front of us went to put his window shade down - and the window fell out. You know how there are two windows on a plane? The one on the outside and the one on the inside with the shade attached to it? Well, the inside window with the shade fell off. Too scary.

Our flight got in late because we took off late and because we were in a holding pattern when we got to Chicago. When we docked we were one of the first ones off the plane and headed down to thr baggage area. My Mom wasn't around anywhere that we could see. We headed to our baggage carousel and still no Mom. I was extremely worried at this point. The weather outside was nasty (rain, sleet, ice, and snow) and I was very worried about her. Rob turned on his phone and there was a voice mail on it, but it was from a game store and not from my Mom. I know she left her house at 2pm and by this time it was 6:30pm. Even with the bad weather, she should have been there. At this point I was really beginning to freak not only about where my Mom was and if she was all right, but also about what we were going to do if she didn't show up. Her house is a three hour drive away from O'Hare and neither Rob nor I know the way there. Rob had her paged and I decided to wander around and see if she was somewhere else. Luckily, we found her right after the page. She had thought we were coming down an escalator at the other end of the baggage claim area and was over there. I was SO releived to see her. We got the luggage and then headed to her car and out of the airport.

It was snowing a bit on the drive to her place, but nothing major. We stopped off at Culver's for dinner and Rob got her a surprise of this weird stuffed ice cream cone that looks like stuffed jizz. Too weird. He kept having the damn thing sneak up on me in the car on the rest of the way to the house.

We got to my Mom's house around 10:30pm. Rob and I unpacked and then watched some TV with my Mom and Grandma. When my Grandma went to bed Rob fell asleep on my lap and my Mom and I watched "Puppet Master Vs. The Demonic Toys" on TV. Such a bad (but fun) movie. Corey Feldman wearing a grey wig and playing an old man with a teenage daughter. Too weird. At one point in the movie Rob was SO cute. One of the characters yelled out "Hello, Hello?" Rob then yelled out "Hello" back at the TV in his sleep. Like I said, SO cute. After the movie we went to bed and watched some TV in bed and fell asleep around 6am after everything was said and done.

Today we slept in and got up around 1:30pm. After getting ready we headed to Brandon Michaels for Rob to pick up my Xmas gift. We then made a run to the grocery store and then stopped in the Paradise Bar. While my Mom and Nana had a drink, Rob and I played two games of pool. Neither Rob nor myself are very good at pool, but he did manage to win twenty bucks from me. After the bar we went next door to The Log Cabin for dinner. Rob and I both got ham steaks. Very yummy food. We then headed back to my Mom's place. Rob and I cuddled for a bit and now I'm using the computer (Rob will use it when I'm done) while my Mom and Nana are watching their usual shows on TV.
